What Do We Go To
Counselling for?

Enabling us to Vent and Release

Counselling provides a safe, confidential and non-judgmental environment to unnburden all your thoughts and feelings.

Gaining Different Perspectives

We see ourselves, the people in our surroundings and our circumstances differently when we voice our thoughts.

Addressing Changes in Ourselves

It is natural for us to change over time. Counselling helps us to gain awarness of these changes and to work towards our ideal self.

What Changes Can You Expect?

Release of pent up emotions

Varying thoughts and worries could be taking their toll on you - both emotionally and physically. Counselling helps you bring these to the surface and deal with them.

Better awareness

Hard times make it difficult for us to see a situation clearly. Counselling can help you see a different perspective to deal with your circumstances better.

Action steps for changes

As counsellors, we facilitate a better understanding of the changes you would like to make and how to achieve this. We are careful to not decide for you OR to tell you what we think is right or wrong – instead we guide you to make the changes you desire in your life.

Changes in Thinking

Through counselling you can adjust in the same environment or with the same triggers and it can help you choose your reactions differently.

The Process

Address Concerns

We begin by addressing the presenting concerns - the concerns that brought you in for counselling. The initial sessions are used to share and release all the thoughts and emotions connected to the presenting concern.

Identify Patterns

We then move on to indentifying patterns of thinking and reacting that could be contributing to the presenting concerns. At this point we can assess whether you would like to continue to share and discuss your experiences and emotions or if you would like to go forward with making changes in terms of your thoughts and actions.

Follow Up Sessions

After the above steps are addressed, we take follow up sessions to look at the changes you have made in order to assess if it has been helpful or not and whether you would like to make further changes or strengthen the same action steps taken.
