The Process
Address Concerns
We begin by addressing the presenting concerns - the concerns that brought you in for counselling. The initial sessions are used to share and release all the thoughts and emotions connected to the presenting concern.
Identify Patterns
We then move on to indentifying patterns of thinking and reacting that could be contributing to the presenting concerns. At this point we can assess whether you would like to continue to share and discuss your experiences and emotions or if you would like to go forward with making changes in terms of your thoughts and actions.
Follow Up Sessions
After the above steps are addressed, we take follow up sessions to look at the changes you have made in order to assess if it has been helpful or not and whether you would like to make further changes or strengthen the same action steps taken.
